Mel Carter - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me
Almost three days and Chase will be home! I am so excited I just can't sleep! It's like Christmas!! Then I look up songs and then I cry. I cry because I am excited and I love this guy so darn much! Call me crazy, but I am dedicating this song to Chase Thompson! Happy Happy Birthday!
Buddy!

It has been almost nine weeks, and I have survived. Well almost. Ha ha. I am just so glad that Chase is returning home to us! I love my little boys. Carter has been my little buddy. He now likes to sit on my lap, and he grabs my hand and puts it on his lap. Its sweet. He tells me that he misses Daddy, and that he's in "ro iwend". (Rhode Island) This experience has showed me how hard it is to be a single mom. It is so tough! I don't know how they do it! I am now more than ever grateful for a husband, and a father for my children. I know that they need him...and I need him. I also know that my loving Heavenly Father is always watching out for us and knows our concerns, and can comfort me! I am so thankful to my parents and sisters to help me out too! Thank you! :)!!!! We did it!!

N Sync - I Want You Back
This song is dedicated to my darling husband, Chase Thompson. Not only will the video feel they way I feel, but also make you want to dance and put a smile on your face. My new motto: turn to *Nsync. Sure do miss those guys. But not as much as I miss Chase! Ha ha. All I have is three more weeks! And I'll have-- Chase...BACK! (I was singing it as I type...by the way:) Enjoy!

A Toy Story Halloween
Here are the boys as Woody and Buzz for the spooky holiday. It was Carter's first time going trick or treating, and he LOVED it! We went around the neighborhood with his cousins, and would say, "trick or treat" before he got to the door. It was so much fun taking him, and see his little face smile as he got candy. (Sorry the picture isnt so great...its a cell phone picture.)

Is It Over Yet?
Hello Friends and Family! This is not a pity-party-post. Just a..you-can-do-it-post. Well I DID IT! I made it through three weeks without the hubster...thanks to my WONDERFUL FAMILY!! He's been in Colorado...and he is in his last week there! YIPEE!! Then he comes home on Friday night, and leaves the next day to Rhode Island for five weeks. That's right. Five. 5. Cinco. That's like NOTHING! Pa-Shaw! :) I am up here for a week for Reece's appt. and I think it has made me realize how much I miss my man. Then I had a short and sweet weekend with him, and it was so hard to see him go again. Just FIVE MORE WEEKS and then its back to real life in the Thompson home. I will be going back to Yuma soon, and I can not wait! HA! So, I am keeping busy with my boys and friends. I just recently found this music video from Wy. (That's what I like to call Wynonna...love her by the way.) And it's quite a gem. So I'm going to post it, and you can enjoy it. She sings, "Is it over yet?" And the answer is no. duh! :) But it reminded me what I felt when I saw him leave again. Its a good thing we are married! Because I am crazy about that guy! Enjoy the video. WARNING** You might find more Wy songs posted on the blog. Just for fun. :)

Fishing!
So I came home this weekend for a quick visit, and Carter just had to go fishing. He's been talking about it for days. His idea of fishing is throwing as much bait as he can in the lake, dipping my fishing pole in the water, and "spinning it," which is his version of reeling in the line. I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose a good fishing rod one of these days, but it's fun.

Yuma Time!!

Chase has been gone for almost 2 weeks...so 7 more weeks to go! I am so grateful for family and to be with them! It's the best! Here are some pictures of pumpkin carvin', paitin', super heroes, and Reece. I bought Carter this cape and mask from Wal-Mart, and he hasn't taken it off yet. He eats in it, sleeps in it, and I have to beg to take it off of him to take a bath. Apparently, he loves it :) When he wears his mask, he tells me he's batman, then when its off...he's SUPERMAN! Love that kid. He is doing so good here, andhaving a blast with his cousins.

What to do....what to do...
***SPOILER ALERT***A VERY LONG BUT FUN POST. HOPEFULLY. HEE HEE. YE BE WARNED.
My husband has been gone for 6 weeks, and has 2 more weeks till he is home again for a month! Then he'll be gone for 4 weeks in Colorado. I don't want to talk about that...one step at a time. I did the last 6 weeks. I just need to get through these next 2 weeks. Hey its practically done! Just about one more week left!

My adorable 2 year old son is very active. I heard its normal. :) We have a bowling kit that he loves to knock down. Once I set it up (about 30 sec. to set up) he knocks it down in 1.5 secs. or less! Very fun and I hear..."set it up, MOM!" Hee hee. What to do with this little boy....PUZZLES! He LOVES puzzles...and I love to see him love it every time he does it. I bought him some Thomas the Train puzzles, and a Lightening McQueen one. He wakes up from his nap asking to do puzzles. He is now at the point where he doesn't need my help...and he can do it by himself! I feel like I need to challenge him with some more stuff to do. But what!? I love to hear suggestions. Its hard when Daddy is gone, and I'm the one entertaining him ALL THE TIME. It makes me sad when after his nap, he wakes up and wanting to go, "bye-bye" and I don't have a clue where to go...just to leave this house. I have taken him to the splash pad by the mall, to many different toy stores, and he has learned to "put back toy," when we are done looking at it. He is sneaky sometimes and when I say its time to go, he grabs a toy and says, "take home," and he starts walking towards the door. Ha ha. (Don't worry...I made him take it back.) I have taken him to the mall and let him play with the rides, (car, boat and helicopter) they are a dollar each to turn them on, but he enjoys playing them for free. And there is a little play pit to climb on stuff and go down slides. We do that alot. Its too hot to play outside, especially with Reece in his helmet...he just sweats and sweats. Poor guy. Once in a great while I'll go on a hot walk and let him ride his bike around the neighborhood. Its just too darn hot! So there's that. Now you ask, Meagan--what DO YOU DO when the kids are in bed!? Here's a list:
*Cry. Just kidding! ha ha! Well maybe I've had my share of shedding a few tears. It has been hard sometimes. Here's a quote I would like to share with you:
"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." — Marjorie Pay Hinckley
* Watch movies. Holy cow...have I watched so many movies at night! I love movies, and I am a good movie watcher. Whatever that means. I have been having a Tom Cruise marathon! Yipee! I guess I have been scared at night, and I feel that Mr. Cruise can protect me since Chase isn't here. I am watching action movies! Like: Mission Impossible (All THREE) Minority Report, War of the Worlds, (that is a scary one...I highly recommend watching it during the day, instead at night in the dark...) Knight and Day, (that is a funny one). And a few of the lovey dovey ones.. Top Gun (my favorite!) and Far and Away (so romantic!) and a stupid one...Days of Thunder. Dumb. But I love Tom Cruise. I also love Leonardo DiCaprio...since 1997. It all began with Titanic. I remind myself with Chase gone, that "my heart will go on...and on." ha ha. (See I need to laugh!) I've watched, "Man in the Iron Mask," (There's 2 Leos whoot! whoot! ) Catch Me If You Can, Romeo and Juliet, for the first time I think I understood that movie. I had the subtitles on because it is old English, or Shakespearean, (?) and it wasn't that bad. A little weird but again..there's a young Leo. AND (I feel like a movie junkie. Listen, after playing and entertaining 2 boys, and feeding and cleaning and laurndry-ing...and being a single mom--- at the moment, I deserve to put my feet up and enjoy what I do best...movie watching) any ways, my new FAVORITE movie is 17 Again! I've watched it at least 4 times! I love Zac Efron in that movie! It is so sweet--and I love how they get back together. LOVE IT!

Just Fixin' A Flat...
Finally! We have something to protect Reece from his big brother! Ha ha. Yes...Reece has to wear this helmet for 2-3 months for 23 hours a day. He is getting better at sleeping in it, but he does have his rough days. Every time I put it on him he cries, and it breaks my heart...but it is for his own good. It would be hard to hide a misshapen head with a boy. So here's to rounding out his melon! :)

Stronger
Ooh hey YEAH! I would just like to congratulate myself for making it through the first rotation! Go me! This last week, actually went by quick for me, and I did great! It is amazing to me how Heavenly Father listens to my prayers at night when I am scared, and wanting to sleep...and I would sleep so wonderfully! He is really there and answers the smallest prayers! I feel like I've been a stronger person, and I can do this mother thing! All I need is a cape. Ha ha. NO, I am not super mom, but I had a teensy-tiny, microscopic dot of a feeling of a super mom, being able to handle two kids, if they are crying at the same time, or having Carter throw up on me, or something, or knowing what to do to make them happy. I've had my good moments, and my bad moments and my funny and scary moments. Here's what I would like to share:
Scary Moment: I am deathly afraid of scorpions. I HATE them. I really do. And yesterday, I was in the kitchen talking on the phone, and I look down and there is a scorpion by my foot! AAAaahhH!! So my mother bear instinct in me was to kill kill kill!! I am so glad that the kids were sleeping at this time! How terrible would it be if it stung Carter or Reece or me? SCARY. So I found a diaper box, and threw it on top of it and then I stood on it for a long long time. Story short, I squished it and manned up enough to throw it away. I am so scared its going to come back alive and run and sting me. Silly I know. I am even scared of them when I "think" they are dead. As Carter would say, "disgusting!"
Funny Moment: You all know that we lock Carter in his bed during nap time, because that is the ONLY way to keep him in there to sleep. He is doing better with naps, most of the time. (You can read more about his nap times in my post of "Nap Nazi.") Well, as I was putting Carter to bed and tucking him in, I usually tell him, "if you come out of your bed, then I'm locking the door." He always replies back, "no lock door, mom." I say okay and leave. I wait a few moments, and he comes out of his bed asking for water, or something, and I tell him I have to lock the door. As I go in the room I lock the door because if I lock it from the outside, he hears the "click", and flips out, so I do the lock when he's getting back in bed. (Nice distraction.) I entered the room to straightened his blankets, (nice distraction) and I turn around and he says, "no lock door, mom!" And then he shuts the door with me inside!!!! I wanted to scream and shout, and laugh! I didn't have my cell phone.... AND Chase was out of town. I am so glad that Candice was home--in her bed room, hearing me banging on the wall to let me out. I can't believe it happened! I don't know what I would have done if Candice wasn't home! Crazy.
So I would like to dedicate a little song to myself for making it through this time. I never would have made it with this Britney Spear's song "Stronger": (ha ha)
Ooh hey, yeah
Hush, just stop
There’s nothing you can do or say, baby
I’ve had enough
I’m not your property as from today, baby
You might think that I won't make it on my own
But now I’m…
[Chorus:]
Stronger than yesterday
Now it’s nothing but my way
My lonliness ain’t killing me no more
I’m stronger
That I ever thought that I could be, baby
I used to go with the flow
Didn’t really care ‘bout me
You might think that I can’t take it, but you’re wrong
‘Cause now I’m…
[CHORUS:]
Stronger than yesterday
Now it’s nothing but my way
My lonliness ain’t killing me no more
I’m stronger
Hush, just stop
There’s nothing you can do or say, baby
I’ve had enough
I’m not your property as from today, baby
You might think that I won't make it on my own
But now I’m…
[Chorus:]
Stronger than yesterday
Now it’s nothing but my way
My lonliness ain’t killing me no more
I’m stronger
That I ever thought that I could be, baby
I used to go with the flow
Didn’t really care ‘bout me
You might think that I can’t take it, but you’re wrong
‘Cause now I’m…
[CHORUS:]
Stronger than yesterday
Now it’s nothing but my way
My lonliness ain’t killing me no more
I’m stronger
I like to sing this song when I see a nasty scorpion and I need to kill it! Oh yeah!

My little boys...
Lately I have been thinking about my life when I just had one child. Life was "easy." Carter was an easy baby, and he would sleep so much, and I could get so much done! People would tell me that I was lucky, and...."wait till you have two!" WELL...I think I know what those people were talking about. Life is a little bit more difficult... times 2. I love my little boys.
Carter is busy and loves to play like a little boy should. He adores his brother, and a great helper with throwing away Reece's diapers, and getting me his pacifier and burp rag when I need it. He loves to give hugs to Reece and he always says, "I love my brother." So cute.
Reece is a great baby, and loves to smile at us! I also think he is afraid of Carter. Carter has been known to hit, scratch, take away his pacifier...not all the time, but I think Carter does these things because he needs attention. I am learning how to divide my attention to both boys. Picture this: I am sitting in my peaceful rocking chair, and feeding my sweet little baby. Here comes Mr. Carter bursting through the door with so much energy he doesn't know what to do. So he jumps on the bed, and comes up to me and says something to Reece or jumps up and down, or something... and Reece always cries and screams at the top of his lungs, when Carter has interrupted his eating time. I guess my boy likes to eat in silence. Makes me kind of sad. Then my adorable 2 year old likes to scream as well to be like Reece. And they both get louder and louder.... then I feel like screaming...and I think my head is about to pop. I try to hide when I feed Reece to avoid the crying and the screaming, but somehow my little boy seems to know where to find me. And I am glad that Carter loves me, because maybe when he's a teenager he won't want to hang out with his mom! I love my boys. And I am sure there are other mothers who have this situation, or where their wonderful kids are driving them crazy. I've always wanted to be a good mother, and I am still learning how to be one. I know someday I will miss this! Not the screaming, and driving me insane, but to enjoy my little boys. They grow so fast! Here is a quote that I got from my friend's blog, that meant a lot to me:
"If you have children who are grown and gone, in all likelihood you have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn’t appreciate that time of life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Rather than dwelling on the past, we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future.
"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." President Monson.
I just needed to hear this quote. I can do this! "Never give up. Never surrender!"

Boating!
Carter and dad went on the boat today with a couple cousins. Carter had a blast and was all worn out by the end...playing hard just like a little boy should!

Are You Lonesome Tonight?
Are you lonesome tonight,
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?
Does your memory stray to a brighter summer day
When I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?
YES. I have been lonely. Really lonely. Especially at night. When I put the kids down for bed, that's when I really really miss my hubby. I am now scared of the dark and every noise freaks me out. Why does my house make noises?? ESPECIALLY at night!? I have had some fun with my boys. Carter is now into puzzles, and knocking down bowling pins, and Reece is getting bigger and starting to make eye contact with us and smiling. I love it, and I need his smiles! I used to complain to Chase (before our "experience") about him lying his shoes and socks on the floor...I miss that! I love having him home and being there! And that's the way life should be! No one should be alone! That's why I am in Yuma for a week reunited with the hubster. Life is beautiful again! I would like to dedicate this little song to my one and only. By the Righteous Brothers (my new favorite!) "Soul and Inspiration."
*Side Note*
(For my family and friends who would like to see the music video--because it doesn't show up in the email, go to my website, www.meaganandchase.blogspot.com)

Single Mom TIme
All by myself
I don't wanna be..
all by myself
anymore...
So this little song has been my song when I am feeling lonely... it kind of makes me laugh sometimes. Chase has started rotations for dental school. He is in San Luis for 6 weeks, then Maryland for Navy business for 2 weeks, Colorado in October for 6 weeks, then Navy training in Rode Island in November for 5 weeks. Yeah, I know. So I sing this song and I laugh. I laugh because it is so true, and this is my life right now, and there's no point in pouting about it and not liking it so I sing this song and laugh. Music is a big part of my life, and I always like to find songs that go with my life. So I will probably be posting tons of songs in the near future. :) I also like to blog because it makes me feel better and it helps me sort out my thoughts and feelings...and I can look at my situation in a different way. I want to write about my "experience" as being a temporary single mother...so I can look back and laugh some more. :)
The first week I was home, and then the second week I went to Yuma where Chase is staying with his parents and stayed a week. The third week I am home because I needed to take Reece to his physical therapy evaluation appointment. So here we are practically done with the third week! Whoo whoo! Here are some thoughts and things that I have discovered:
1. It is tough being a single mom 24/7. Its nice to have a husband around to help out with the kids.
2. I don't have to wear make-up if I don't want to. hee hee
3. I can eat cereal and PB and J for dinner.
4. I can watch what ever I want at night.
5. I really love my husband.
That's it for right now. There will be more to come with this adventure!

Nap Natzi
Well the moment came. This dreadful moment --and I have heard countless horror stories about. My 2 and half year old son has learned how to climb out of the crib and nap time was OVER. I think my life is over. My schedule for mommy and wife-hood in the house was kapoinked. (nice word huh!?) For the past week (seems like forever) has been the worst mommy/son time ever.
Carter has always been a wonderful sleeper. He would take one nap in the afternoon, and sleep 3 or 4 hours a day. It was nice. He would wake up happy, I would be happy, and then he would be ready for bed at 7:30. During that time I would clean the house, do laundry, get ready for dinner, have some "me" time. And then that time was gone a week ago. I would put Carter in his bed, leave the room, and then he would sneak out, and run to me and give me a grin. I would put him back in bed, I did that so many times I wanted to cry. He was waking up super early as well. Once it was 4:30, and the other days about 5:30AM. He would come running in our room, and say, "watch minnie mickey!??" And he would climb on the bed. I don't know where he gets so much energy first thing in the morning. Didn't get that from me. Chase!? :) So I looked up on the internet of what to do. I think I tried them all:
1. lay beside him-I put his matress on the floor, and layed by him. He began to giggle and hit my face.
2. Stay by the door and make him lay down-I felt like the Nap Natzi--didn't like that.
3. Bribe him with a Popsicle if he would lay down and take a nap. I mentioned the word Popsicle, and he ran to the freezer....didn't work.
4. I held him in my lap down stairs until he fell asleep and I put him to bed, then he woke up 45mins. later.
Every min. of everyday I would try to think of a solution. During this time my son was a cranky crab because of no sleep, and I was a beast too. Poor Chase. Then the lightbulb went on in my tiny head and I had a BRILLIANT idea!!! Lock him in! Wait, that sounded bad. I meant when we put him down we simply lock the door, and he would fall asleep. That was the plan. So that night, Chase turned the door knobs around, and I put him to bed, and locked the door. After a few moments of crying...my precious little angel had fallen asleep! HALLELUJAH! WE DID IT! WE FOUND THE SOLUTION! MY LIFE HAS RETURNED!
Then the next day came, and I was excited to try my little plan again and have him sleep. I put him in there, and he cried, and was silent for about an hour. And I just smiled. I am such a smart mom! Then I heard crying and Chase and I opened the door...and got a whiff of a pungent smell. And to our great surprise--there was poop on the floor, door, toys, and on Carter himself. (I am just so thankful for our STEAM CLEANER! WHOO!) After this incident, I am faced with this question: Am I at square one? Well, my friends, I like to say I'm on square 3 at least...because today I hid his toys in his room, and he has been asleep as I type for the past 2 hours!! WHOOP! WHOOP! I have hope. I do. Nap Time will reign once again for Carter in the Thompson house. :)
I would like to end this post with this last thought: "Never give up, never surrender." - Jason Nesmith (Galaxy Quest)

You're The Inspiration (By Chicago)
I would like to dedicate a little song to a new love in my life....
You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love that lasts forever
And I need you here with me
From tonight until the end of time
You should know, everywhere I go
You're always on my mind, in my heart In my soul
Calling
Today was the day when I fell in love with my calling. I mean head over heals in love. I've never had that. Ever.
I am the nursery coordinator. When I was given this calling, I was terrified. I've always been in the primary or nursery...but not THE COORDINATOR for 3 nurseries! My dream calling is to be in the Young Women's--I think it is because I had such amazing, fun, inspiring leaders. Most of my friends in my ward are in Young Women's, and honestly, I would get a tad bit jealous. Was I not good enough!? Well, today was the day when Heavenly Father showed me why I, Meagan Thompson was called to be the nursery coordinator.
I don't know how to explain it but I got the feeling that we are all called in different parts of the church because it is where we are needed, and where we can grow and learn. We all have different talents and abilities. I love children. Sometimes I think I'm a kid in an adult body. SOMETIMES. I think this is what helps me to come up with fun activities for the little toddlers. I have so much to learn and I am grateful for this calling! I also learned that if I set up everything in the classrooms before church then everything runs so much smoother!
One cool thing that happened to me at church-- I lost my "Nursery Coordinator Binder." (that's not the cool part...just wait.) I looked all over the church...this binder is my whole calling helper!! I could NOT lose it. Then I had a thought, "check in the nursery cupboard." I shook that thought out of my head because I knew that I didn't put it in there. So I went home. Then another thought came to me, "call one of the teachers to see if they took it." So, I called one of the teachers and she put in in the nursery cupboard!!" I am just amazed how Heavenly Father helps us and is there for all of us no matter what situation we are in...big or small. So I am not lost and I have my binder!
I am thankful for the gospel I really don't know where I'd be with out it. And I am excited for this new calling! :)

Meagan + skinny jeans = happy Meagan in skinny jeans
I had the best date last night with my darling husband. It was so good I wanted to come home and write it in my journal, and write I love Chase Thompson all over the page. I felt like I was 17 again. I think my wonderful date all started with a pair of jeans. After having the baby, I haven't felt so pretty about myself, and very fat...and just always felt sad when I would put on non maternity clothes...and I get the muffin top syndrome. (muffin top syndrome: when belly fat hangs over the jeans looking like the top of a muffin.) Not cool.
Let me start at the beginning of the story: Chase and I have been trying to go on dates once a week, which I love, and I feel like I am falling even more in love with him than I thought possible! I also like to try and get dolled up and get pretty for them. The moment came when I had to pick out my clothes. To wear skinny jeans or not...that was the question. I was scared to put them on and the fear that they wouldn't fit. But I pulled out my jeans, and I dusted them off, (it has been a year!) and slid my right leg in...then my left leg-- I did the hokie pokie and I turned myself around...that's what it's ALL ABOUT! HA! Sorry, I put on the jeans, and sucked in with all of my might....and I BUTTONED IT!!!!!! I did it! I was in them! They were on me! They were a tad bit tight, and after I did some squats in them...I was a new woman! Then it hit me...while I was putting on my makeup....I put on double the mascara...and applied more lipstick. I straightened my hair like never before. I even wore a necklace and beautiful earrings! All because of my jeans. I was feeling good. I even painted my toes red!
Then the glorious moment came when my man saw me in my jeans and gave me the big smile and nod. Oh yeah this is going to be a great date night! We went to the movies and he held my hand! WHOO! And after the movie we ate chocolate frostys and sat and TALKED. I absolutely love talking to my husband, or for that matter just being with him! I remember when we started dating, and I always loved that I could talk to him about anything! He is my truest best friend for ETERNITY! I sure do love that man of mine.
So, I think it all started with these jeans. And I am so glad for more much more dates with THE MR. CHASE THOMPSON! Ow! OW! :)

Bed Rest Free, 2 little boys, and never ending laundry..
Hello My Dear Blogging Friends and Family!! I guess it is time for an UPDATE!! My excuse for not writing was waiting for pictures to be put on the blog, Chase has a new camera, so I was "waiting" to get the drive thing, and put pictures up. Well he did that, just like I asked, and I was just "waiting" for a good time to blog. Well here it is! Are you ready for this!??
First of all, it is so amazing to be BED REST FREE for 7 weeks now !I now run, jump, skip, cart wheel, sing, dance, swim, and twirl. (WOW!) I DID IT AGAIN! Yeah me! I take that back, it wasn't just me, it was my husband, my sister, Carter...we all went through it. They helped me stay on bed rest. :) In the words of the King, "I'm free like a bird in a tree." :) Enough about me..(there might be just a little bit more about me...just a warning)
Reece entered this world on April 27th, weighing in 7lbs, and 4 oz. and has been an extra delight in the home. Carter adores him...which makes us happy. When people come over to see us and the baby Carter always points to Reece and says, "cute Reece!" At first when we brought our little boy home, Carter loved him a little too much, and I couldn't wait for his nap time. I know bad mom, but I think my hormones were out of wack at first, and I could cry at the drop of a hat! I even cried when my mom said she was going to give away my extra crock pot to Good Will! I am so glad those roller coaster-mood swing days and not sleeping are over. It was just a little crazy. Now I can handle both boys, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I LOVE THEM! I love love LOVE being a mother and a wife. I am still learning and trying to improve, but it is simply the best. I feel like I am constantly doing laundry, but hey that it one of my favorite chores! I can handle throwing in a load, and folding it, its the putting away that gets me. I usually fold clothes during Carter's nap, and then once hes up i play with him and make dinner and forget about laundry. This week I PUT IT AWAY!! Yeah!!!!!!! I AM improving my wife/mother skills.
Well, Carter is just growing---and talking SO much, and you really have to watch what you say! (Candice--hee hee) His favorite things to say are, "oh my goodness!" From Nana and Papa, "whoopsie!" and "disgusting!" May be I say that too much when I'm changing diapers. Who knows. Its fun. He is a good helper for mom and dad, throwing away diapers getting us wipes, putting his toys away, eating at the table. We've got him to eat fish, by calling it chicken! And he says, "Yum...chicken." Hee hee. He loves to swim and play with his friends. He can count to ten, and we are working on his colors. When we ask him what color it is, he says, "green red!"
Reece is an awesome baby. Probably the best baby in the world. (we have a onesie that says that and Chase and I love to say it...inside joke comin' on the outside...). He's starting to sleep through the night! Not all nights, but he is doing great! He is an easy baby, and real mellow. :) And a very good eater. Love my boys!
Chase is a happy proud father of 2 boys now! I can't believe we have 2 boys now! I am out numbered! I am just glad that Carter gets a brother...a buddy for life. He is surrounded by girl cousins on both sides. I'm glad we could help him out. :)
So, life in the Thompson household has been fun! Life is good, life is great...life is UNBELIEVABLE! Sorry for THE LONGEST UPDATE EVER! I got a lot to say! Peace out my dear friends and family!
