Pictures from S.C.

Chillin' in the car..

Fishin' with Dad right outside our backyard! And they caught a catfish! Carter was excited but scared to touch it.

Best friends...this is taken right before Carter poured water on Reece's head. Reece didn't like that  much.

At the park! And if you notice Reece's hand is bandaged up. He got it stuck in the hotel door and had to get it sewed back on. Crazy scary day! And it was move-in day!
I just love this picture. Reece zonked out! It took a while to get the kids on SC time, which is three hours ahead from AZ. They now go to beD at a decent hour. YEAH!

Before and After flight pictures!

Before and After the flight. More pictures coming!

SOUTH CAROLINA!!

Hello my dear friends and family! Again, a long time since I have exercised my fingers on the key board. Getting kinda chubby...ha ha...my fingers that is! WELL I still can not believe that I am living in SOUTH CAROLINA! It just so crazy! I feel that it has finally calmed down, and the boys and I can start a lovely routine here in the south. Where do I start telling you the beginnings of our journey? Let's start at the beginning! A very good place to start. (I've been listening a lot to my "Sound of music" sound track...so sorry:)

Chase graduated from DENTAL SCHOOL in June!!! What an accomplishment! I am so proud of him! We had our family come up to a luncheon, and then the graduation. And then three days later, we were on our flight to Beaufort, SC. The boys slept and cried, and I cried and slept. HA HA. I really am going to miss Arizona, but what an adventure! And I need to keep reminding myself that.

The ward is small, but I think I like it small. Everyone is going to be our friends! They have to be! HA HA! They are very friendly. Many older families, and cute southern old couples, and new young, (I still consider ourselves young) and they have moved here because of the military, and we met one couple that actually moved from Mesa, and went to the same school as Chase! Small world! He's actually up here for a Doctor's thing.... I'll get back to that later. Anyways, these young couples have nursery aged kids, so Carter is the only boy in his class. In AZ class he had a least five or more. So at first I was sad, but now I am more than grateful and happy that he has Reece. Carter and Reece love each other! (most of the time)  Carter will hold hands with Reece...and Reece will let him. They look at each other and giggle. I just love them! Carter will run around the couches, (we have room for that!) and Reece will just laugh. I guess I love the sound of my kids laughing together. Its the best! As a mother, it makes me very happy. I know we were supposed to have these boys in our lives...they bring me such joy!

Its is very green and absolutely beautiful here! There are bugs, lots of bugs, and I think I got bitten by a spider or something...I won't go into to much detail...but I am scratchin' every bit of my body, because of bug bites...and people tell me.. hello? BUG SPRAY! But I don't want bug spray to be my new perfume..and I feel so sticky. So anyways, its an on going battle. One morning, Carter woke up with huge red bites on his face and neck, so he puts band-aids on them. Well...he will put band-aids on anything...I need to hide those from him.

I am sorry this is long...but I love to write and its been awhile. So the base that Chase works on... is again, just beautiful. With the tunnel of trees you drive through, and the ocean on each side...is it an ocean or a beach? I don't know...but its a lot of water surrounding the base and its so pretty. Chase and I get saluted as we enter the base and I love it! At first when Chase would enter the base, the men would salute him, and I would always get teary-eyed. I get so emotional lately. But its so patriotic, and makes me proud of my Navy man. Chase has told me he is very happy here, and loves what he does. He sees the 18 year olds who just came to the Marines or Navy. I am glad that he is happy. I am happy too...I think it has taken awhile to find my "groove" and routine. I have joined the gym! Yeah! And I just signed Carter up for swimming lessons for two weeks on the base. I am excited, and I hope he is excited! So, I'll let you know if we have a little swimmer soon. Life is good and great, and we are so blessed. I am excited for what South Carolina holds for us! We will keep you posted! My pictures are downloading...so they are coming! I'll post about Reece's finger too!

Hoarding

Hello my bloggy friends! Has it been forever and a decade since I've updated the blog? No. Only a month! HA! It feels like forever and a decade. Well, the time is here my friends. The Thompson clan is moving to South Carolina in about 5 weeks! Turn me upside down and paint me blue! I can not believe its here! So, the Navy will be packing us, and I feel like that is a dream! I won't I have to touch a box, all I have to do is say, "Yes! Pack that!" A dream. I am trying to get prepared for them to move, so I have been de-junking my home like CRAZY. Chase has called me the Tornado. And I like it. I think it motivates me. And holy cow we are hoarders! I found old tests and homework assignments from U of A. We held onto old tests from college...for FOUR years. The question is WHY? They were found in Carter's closest. Why? May be Chase thought, "some day I am going to go through all my chemistry tests and...." I really don't know why he kept them, and moved them from Tucson. I am also a hoarder. I found that I kept a sacrament meeting bulletin, from our Tucson ward, and I gave the closing prayer. It was probably my first prayer in sacrament meeting as a married woman. Gotta save that bulletin! Someday I am going to scrap book it! Again, the question is WHY? So I learned a lot about myself and Chase, and I VOW..I mean WE..right honey? TO NOT BE A HOARDER OF PAPER OR OTHER THINGS. I would like to give myself a pat on the back because I gave so much to Good Will. You're welcome. When I drive up, I can hear them say, "She's BAAAAACK!" I always smile big when I had them my bag of old toys, clothes, books, or even it was so hard....Elvis VHS movies. :( They are only worth $1 on ebay. I wanted to keep them because they were my first Elvis movie collection, but now I have them on dvd...most of them any way. But Yeah me! Moving is exciting. Getting rid of things is exciting. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner! HA HA! I'll keep you updated on our progress! :)

Easter!

We were in Yuma for Easter and it was so GREAT! Carter had fun decorating the eggs with Nana, and going on an Easter egg hunt with all his cousins. I was glad we were there because we will be living in South Carolina for next Easter! WOW! We move in June. Crazy. More details to come on that!

The Zoo!

We took a little trip to the Phoenix Zoo, and it turns out that Carter is quite the little monkey whisperer!

the gymmy gym

I guess its been awhile since I got on the old blog and exercised my fingers all of the key board. But...don't worry, because I HAVE BEEN exercising at the G-Y-M. You heard me...the gym. the gym the gym the gym. THE GYM! Just saying it out loud and typing it makes me happy. The Gym has changed my life. I would first like to thank my handsome husband, for being my personal cheerleader, and encouraging me to go. He has been going too, and we both are just happy. Its amazing how good I feel, and I feel like I can push myself and do other things at the gym, like JOG, and do a kick boxing class. It's exciting. Since I have joined THE GYM, I feel like everything else in my life has come into place...as a mother, and a wife, and my house. Its not perfect, but I feel like I am improving in these areas. (My fingers are getting tired! HA!) Break time....

Anyways, I love being a mom! Attitude is everything. It really helps! I would get frustrated with the kids, if something didn't go my way, and be negative and complain. It was awful! So since I have joined THE GYM... having a positive attitude helps...a lot. For you and the hubby. :)

And another thing is I am doing a little better at keeping my house clean and chores done. Still working and improving on this one, but I am moving in the right direction! YEAH! The trick is to do a load of laundry everyday to avoid a huge mountain of dirty clothes!! :) Then fold and put away...immediately.

So life is good! And I can jog now! YEAH! Love life, and all THREE OF MY BOYS! Here's some recent pictures:
